Sydney Collins is a conservation contractor working to support the shared stewardship initiative with the Mi'kmawey Debert Cultural Center. Prior to her current tenure at the National Museum of the American Indian, she worked as a conservation technician at Gawain Weaver Art Conservation in Lagunitas, California. Sydney also has a background in digitization and gained professional experience working as the conservation photographer at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and as a technician at the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection at the University of Virginia.
